ASSET Research has been awarded funding by MilkSA for the following project: A systems dynamic approach to incorporate environmental indicators into economic outcomes of dairy production systems in SA.

This project is inclusive of three phases:

Phase 1: Determination of the economic and environmental impact of dairy production in South Africa: A system dynamics approach

Phase 2: Application of system dynamic model to estimate the relative environmental footprint of milk and plant-based beverages

Phase 3: DESTiny tool to estimate on-farm nutrient and net carbon flows for dairy production
